Meet the Team

We are the proud owners of Design District.  Our days consists of any number of design, client, staff, job site, and other business meetings with hopefully a few hours of office time mixed in to organize it all.  We've been part of the flooring and design industry for our entire working lives and have always enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people, turn those meetings into long term business relationships, and oftentimes even friendships.  Over the past few years, the size and scope of our typical project has increased tremendously, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see how relationships built over the years have turned into these amazing opportunities for our company.  Outside of work we love to travel with our two kids and play as much tennis as humanly possible.   

As one of Design District's OG's, I have the pleasure of doing a little bit of everything here at our happy design center.  I spend the large part of my day working with our amazing clients helping them to bring together spaces that feel personal, unique and beautiful.   The joy of seeing a project go from a few samples spread out on a table to a space that is loved gives me goosebumps.  As a former yoga instructor, I think wellness comes in all forms.  Having a home that you love and love to share with friends and family is the ultimate foundation of a healthy happy life.   I love coming to work each day because the diverse crew of talented individuals I work with feel like family.  They inspire me and most importantly make me laugh every day. When not in the office I earn my nickname of Krogi the Yogi, enjoy traveling, cooking, and happen to be obsessed with dogs.  My husband and I are headed down the home stretch to being empty-nesters.  We have two wonderful daughters, one in college and the other headed there soon.  

I love bringing concepts to life, whether it's a drawing, a 3D model, or a slideshow. I've worked on designing and creating interior models for different types of home projects, from kitchens to bathrooms to whole house new construction and renovations. I love teaching my clients and co-workers about how these amazing tools can take their ideas to the next level. I'm always up for new challenges and learning from others.

My husband Mac and I met in college and have been happily married for two decades. We have two amazing kids; Ally who is 17 and Dawson who is 15. We love spending time together as a family, especially boating and surfing on Lake Lanier. We also like to take our dog Daisy on hiking adventures and play poker games at home. We are always having fun and making memories!

I am responsible for planning and developing project ideas, monitoring project progress, solving issues when they arise, and cultivating customer relationships. I love the team I work with and the expertise we bring to customers. I am married with 3 daughters...because God has a sense of humor. When I'm not at Design District, you'll find me hunting, fishing, and coaching travel softball. 

My business card labels me as "social media", but I'm really best known for eating double lunches, resurrecting clothes from decades ago, being the backup to the backup forklift operator, having over 2,500 photos of my cats (Sophia & Jonathan) on my phone, and greeting the office with "Buongiorno!" every single morning. 

My favorite part of working at DD: Well, first let me tell you a joke. 

So...a Brazilian, a cop, a Harry Potter fanatic, a yogi, a lady-boss, an architect, a former rockstar, and a pair of restaurateurs all walk into a bar... Wait. That's not a joke. Those are the people I work with and they're by far the best part of working at The District.

I have two teen boys, Cole and Dax, and I spend my paychecks attempting to keep their tummies full, which both fuels my passion for cooking, while ironically killing all desire to ever cook again. I love laughing. I love sneezing, q-tips and cat reels. I love my massive family and my worldwide network of friends, and gosh darnit, I love my country. One day I'd like to gather up all the thousands of photographs I've taken and line them up with the haphazard pieces of writing I've done over the years and create quirky coffee table books. 

My name is Mike and I am the warehouse manager here at Design District. I take pride in being a multipurpose employee, handling not only shipping and receiving but also billing and IT for the accounting team. Being a part of Design District has helped me grow and sharpen my skills that I have obtained in the 10 years in the flooring industry. Outside of work I enjoy PC gaming, spending time with my wife, Kalee, and daughter, Olivia, and playing in the yard with our dog, Dutch.
